Well Now What!?
One-Shot RPG
Well Now What!? Is a setting-neutral, zero-prep one shot for 3-5 players and a host, who arbitrates the game. Players will construct their characters and the setting at the beginning of the game, and the host will improvise the story without any preplanning. To play you will need a stack of index cards (at least 10 per player), pens, and at least 1 six-sided die.
Your character’s will coordinate as a team to defeat the conflict and accomplish your goals. But don’t worry, your team is led by an ultimate hero, who definitely won’t fail in the first scene and leave the fight entirely to you. You will seize the action without turn-order, describe your character’s actions, and attempt skill rolls when those actions carry risk, all in a story told in 2-4 hours. Whether you succeed or fail is up to your creativity, teamwork, and the luck of the dice.
